Privacy
Short version: I collect what is needed to send you an order, and nothing beyond that. SootheHound is run from Dublin, Ireland, and is the data controller for anything described here.
What I hold
- Order details — your name, delivery address and email. These are needed to fulfil the contract when you buy something, and they live in Stripe rather than in a database of mine.
- Payment details — handled entirely by Stripe. Card numbers never reach this site and I never see them.
- Anonymous page statistics — visits and page views, via a self-hosted analytics tool that sets no cookies and does not track you between sites or build a profile of you.
What I don't do
No advertising trackers, no selling or sharing your details with anyone, and no marketing email unless you have specifically asked for it.
How long I keep it
Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require, then deleted.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email and I will action it — there is no process to navigate, it is just me.
If you are not satisfied with how I handle it, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission atdataprotection.ie.
